Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) dropped a surprise video over Labor Day Weekend titled "Feels Like Summer." In the animated clip, Glover strolls through a suburban setting, encountering dozens of his peers along the way. The artist's tattered T-shirt and jeans were paired with Velcro sneakers, but it looks like he'll soon be swapping those out for the Three Stripes.
Accompanied by an animated short by Ivan Dixon (who's also responsible for the "Feels Like Summer" visual), Adidas Originals announced a new collaboration with Glover. Details are sparse, but the brand is promising "a collaboration without boundaries." The video depicts Glover lacing up a nondescript pair of Adidas sneakers, which may be a teaser of what to expect from the collab. According to the official release, the partnership will be multi-faceted, including creative projects, footwear and apparel. Glover commented on his new role as brand co-creator.
"I believe it’s important not to feel like ideas are bound by specific guidelines and Adidas Originals has given me the opportunity to create on my own terms," he said. "I’m looking forward to seeing what that leads to.’
