Up until now, the "Green Lobster" Nike Kyrie 4 debuted by Boston's Jayson Tatum has remained shrouded in mystery, but that's about to change thanks to Concepts.
After teasing the sneakers on Instagram this morning, Concepts' Deon Point brought Sole Collector up to speed on the collab with exclusive details. "We’re doing like a basketball tourney, but where you enter a raffle," Point said.
Expected to release this weekend, just 100 pairs of the sneakers will be made available exclusively through the tournament.
While Irving has previously rocked "Yellow Lobster" Kyrie 4s inspired by past Concepts x Nike SB collabs, Point says he wanted to try something new for the official release. "I worked with the Nike Basketball team on it," he said. "They came to me, discussed [Irving's] love for SBs. Asked if we could do something. I didn’t want to do red, blue, or yellow. I’ve always loved that palette, but I didn’t want it to get played out. I wanted to bring out a new color."
