Popular Canadian online fashion retailer Ssense cooked up something special for its recently opened Montreal flagship location. As a part of the opening of its "Cutting Room Floor" exhibition, the shop had Virgil Abloh customize some Nikes with his permanent marker quotations.
Pairs customized by the designer included a limited number of his upcoming "Polar Opposites" Nike Air Presto collab. Also available was an exclusive run of classic white-on-white Air Force 1 Lows covered in Abloh's patented penmanship. The pairs were all sold on a first come, first serve basis. The man himself was even in attendance at Ssense Montreal to help mark the opening of his new exhibit. Aside from the footwear, Ssense also sold some one-of-one custom pieces from Abloh's upcoming collaboration with luggage company Rimowa as well.
Anyone not in the Montreal area will have to wait for their opportunity to cop the "Polar Opposites" Nike Air Presto when the black pair hits select retailers later this month on July 27 for $160.
