Highly-touted NBA draft prospects Trae Young and Lonnie Walker IV have been announced as the newest members of the Adidas Basketball family.

According to Adidas, both prospects will play a role in "driving performance insights, in addition to creating deeper connections within basketball communities across the globe." They will also be seen in upcoming campaigns and activations for the Three Stripes.

Young caught the attention of the basketball world following a stellar season as the freshman point guard of the Oklahoma Sooners, while Walker IV, another one and done point guard, showcased his talents with the Miami Hurricanes. Each is projected to chosen early in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft taking place on Thursday, June 21 from the Barclays Center in New York City.

The two point guards join the likes of Damian Lillard, James Harden, Kristaps Porzingis, Andrew Wiggins, and Joel Embiid on Team Adidas.

Adidas' unveil follows Puma's big news in the basketball world yesterday after it announced it would be reviving its basketball division with Jay-Z at the helm, with draft prospects Deandre Ayton and Marvin Bagley III as its first signings. Young had previously been linked to Puma's relaunch.
